Remembering Mr. Blue

We didn't know him long, but he'll be in our hearts forever.

Mr. Blue's recent extended trip to the repair shop was unsuccessful in saving him. The short(s) in his wiring, it's believed, blew up 2 more motherboards before we ceased efforts at repair. Mr. Blue was built from components made by different manufacturers, and it's not clear which component, or components, are at fault. Although it received significant kudos from well known references, the company that cobbled together this beloved PC is no longer in business. As such, the remains of Mr. Blue lay in state in our basement until such time as we figure out what to do with them, other than simply throw them away. The owners are considering contacting attorneys close to the family to identify and evaluate additional measures. In the meantime, the family is thrilled with their Toshiba laptop and is committed to brand name electronic purchases for the time being.

Is that Frahn-ken-steen? Nah, definitely Frankenstein.

Lori's got some kind of plans for now - some of which involve haunting the computer shows to see if the seller is around in some other incarnation or location.

We'll let you know when it's safe to pull out the equipment and play 'Dr.'
